The third season continues the quest of Soma at Japan's Best Culinary School where he has to now compete with the best to earn his place amongst the “Elite 10”. The “Elite 10” consists of the best culinary students who get to decide the future direction of the curriculum of the school.
On July 10, 2020 - July 11, 2020, I watched Food Wars! The Third Plate and I got to admit there were twists and turns and Soma got to meet The Council of 10 and Soma enters the Lunar Festival and Soma is up against Terunori Kuga at the Lunar Festival and I’m like “this is going to be very interesting.” Akira is forced to team up with Alice and Ryō because of Jun and the Lunar Festival starts and Soma lost on the first day and is in the red and on day 2 he came in 35th place and Soma mad friends with Nao Sadatsuka and on Day 3 Soma takes advantage of the crowd and on the Day 4 Subaru Mimasaka returns and to help Soma with his dish Meat-Meat help Soma with his dish same with Takumi and Soma comes in first place on Day 5 we meet Eishi Tsukasa NO. 1 on the council of ten and Azami Nakiri who is a total jack ass and jerk who should go fuck himself.
Eishi is the new school director and Jōichirō Yukihira runs into his old friend Gin Dōjima and Soma finds Senzaemon Nakiri in his bedroom and talk and what horrible stuff Eishi did to Erina and Ryō and Alice and Hisako break Erina out of her house. Soma finds Erina in their Dormitory, and the people in the dorm get a story about what she has gone through and Soma reminds Erina of Jōichirō. Soma challenges Etsuya Eizan and apparently, Ezian got to the judges for the Dormitory to stay and Soma won. Two members of the council of 10 get relinquished and I thought Central was NTR because I could not see the rest of it and the Food War is Ryō vs Rentarō Kusunoki Ryō wins and Eishi does a Food Battle with Soma and Eishi plans are to obliterate all Japanese Restaurants like Yukihira Japanese eatery and Soma declares he will never join central and Eishi wins which is obvious and the surprise and Eishi drops a surprise fist to the dormitory and the truth comes out that Jōichiro is his father and Erina finds out and I love the intro for Part 2 and Central is trying to make sure rebels lose and Erina explains how she meets Jōichiro to Soma and Erina gives them a helpful lecture on the Exam.
The teachers try to make it difficult to pass, but they somehow manage to pass the exam and I love Soma and Takumi reaction to Ice Cream and the two rebel groups get separated and now each group has to battle members of the 10 and Akira makes a return, and he is a member of the 10 and I was like “Soma you are gonna lose again to Akira it’s pretty obvious” and it’s rematch Soma vs Akira and Soma gets some help from Kuga and the Food Battle starts and Jun says “she just want Akira to enjoy cooking and making friends” and now Akira is no longer apart of Central and the ones who survived are Soma, Megumi, Takumi, Erina the rest is expelled and Jōichirō makes a surprise enterance and demands a Food War and the training starts and Erina finally stood up to her father. We get a backstory on Jōichrio, and we meet Nene Kinokuni and the expelled students go to support them and there are new people joining the rebellion the first Food War is Nene vs Soma and Satoshi vs Julio and Nene and Satoshi are childhood besties, and we meet the judges and Satoshi won for the second round then Soma won for the first round.
When I watched Food Wars! The Third Plate Part 2 one movie came to my mind “They Live” you are probably wondering, “how the fuck did you come to that conclusion” and when these concepts were used my mind was like “This is like They Live.”
They both have good guys that were made bad guys by higher authority.
When Akira had the rematch with Soma, it reminded of the longest fight in They Live because Akira reminds of Frank because they both didn’t believe and Soma reminds me of Nada the person who wants to convince Akira and both Akira and Frank after the fight/Food War they both joined the rebellion.
The whole world/school is against the rebellion.
