Barbie is about Barbie who suffers a crisis where she goes to the real world to learn the truth about the world
Barbie was a good movie with an amazing cast, music, and sets but this movie is a lie whats it's really about sexism yeah which was not mentioned in the trailer which I call bait and switch. From the very beginning, I knew this movie was a feminist film but this film went beyond the line
At first, I enjoyed this movie it was just a fun movie from the set pieces, cast, and music, but then when they entered the Real World for me it went downhill for me because this movie attacked males going on about how men are bad and I felt like they were attacking toxic males and I was caught in the crossfire and I want it to end the entire time from there and I was wondering that these politics had no place in this movie if I cut that piece out and replace it with something different that fits the tone it would be a lot better. I remember when I saw the trailer I thought it would be a fun movie about a toy but once I went to see the movie it betrayed my expectations it felt like being promised cake only for you to eat into to find out it's just stone on the inside and this movie is the definition of what I like to call bait-and-switch which I loathThe story is about Barbie who lives in Barbieland and then weird stuff starts happening so she goes to the real world with Ken where she learns men rule and have the most power here so Ken goes back to turn Barbie land into his paradise and so Barbie and her friends turn it back to the way it was but somewhere the plot starts becoming confusing for me because I thought this would be about Mattel chasing her down and also she becomes human which comes out of nowhere. If more movies like these come out it will finish the job of killing what I love about films making the film industry dead. The only thing good about this movie was the cast, music, sets. The Cast was awesome and they did an excellent job with Margot Robbie as Barbie she was amazing she did a really good job. Ryan Gosling as Ken was amazing I mean he was the real star of this show I mean, unlike the movie his story is consistent. The music was good have no complaints there along with the sets. But one thing that stood out the most was the amount of horses in Ken's paradise like holy crap all these horses don't make sense like what do you think that all men love horses.
After finishing this movie I felt like my love for movies had been taken from me it was a slow process starting with Marvel and now Barbie finished me off so now I will be watching very little modern film and more classics because they don't disappoint and this is why I started watching anime cause they (rarely) disappoint me even now I'm struggling to write this review cause of how much it hurt me. In conclusion, I don't know what to say about this but for those who love this movie all I have to say is "One man's trash is another man's treasure" and now if you don't mind I'm going to go back to continue watching Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 to forget about this show
